Why Choose Big Roll Netting?
At Magnum ENP, we build our netting program around the way growers, harvest crews, and installers actually work. Big rolls move faster, waste less material, and create a cleaner finished product. Because we started as sod farmers, we talk about sod netting from a practical angle, not just a catalog angle.
Less Waste, More Flexibility
Many operations move to big rolls for the same reason: they want more usable product and fewer slowdowns. Big roll sod netting supports more tender turf, which lets growers harvest earlier and reduce waste in the field. That kind of flexibility can make a real difference when timing, labor, and crop quality all matter at once.
Once a roll leaves the farm, support becomes the name of the game. Good sod netting helps the roll hold together on trailers, forklifts, and job sites. That added structure reduces cracking, edge damage, and the kind of avoidable loss that chips away at margin.
Big rolls also help crews stay in rhythm. They cover more ground per roll, create fewer seams, and help installers finish faster with less patching at the end. That means less stop-and-start work, less labor drag, and a smoother installation, from the first roll all the way to the last.
A Better Fit for the Job
Just as important, Magnum helps customers choose the right sod netting for the way they harvest and install. Some farms want traditional plastic netting. Others want degradable or biodegradable options that reduce cleanup after installation. We walk through those details with you, so our recommendation fits your work.
Why Netting Matters
Top producers understand the intricacies that netting is used for, but what makes our rolls stand out from the rest? When designing the netting our customers trust every day, Magnum looked into what makes a sod farm successful. These are three key aspects that tie every operation together.
Quality Control
Maintaining a consistent level of quality not only helps make your operation successful, it also elevates our entire industry! By using high-quality netting, producers that trust Magnum deliver exceptional yields season after season. From the strongest field netting available to advanced biodegradable big roll net construction, we supply the world’s top turf farms with industry-leading solutions.
The Planet
Since our industry heavily relies on the planet for our productivity, Magnum also strongly believes that we should take care of it! To make a positive impact on the environment and our industry, we offer the USDA-certified biodegradable BioHarvestNet™. This big roll net option eliminates the hard work and waste of removing plastic netting with a 100% plant-based composition. While saving the planet, this sod netting also saves time and money!
Bottom Line
Investing wisely is one of the most important things you can do to stay at the top of our industry. That’s why Magnum discusses the needs of our customers in detail as they order every roll of netting. We offer a wide range of options to accommodate unique intricacies for some of the most diverse farms. No matter your needs, our team helps select the right netting for the success of your turf —and your operation!

Our Industry Go-Tos
Magnum is widely recognized as an industry leader for our line of harvesters, but those in the know also look to us for top-of-the-line sod netting. Our big roll solutions are made in the USA and designed with producers’ needs in mind. Thanks to decades of exceptional quality, the world’s top sod farms continue to trust us for these top solutions.
The Best for Big Rolls
As an international leader in big roll sod harvesting, it’s only fitting that Magnum is also a leading supplier of big roll netting. We offer a wide array of industry-leading solutions designed to give farmers what they need to harvest healthy, high-quality sod. Here are just three of the many reasons why Magnum is a trusted partner on farms around the globe.
-
Exceptional Materials
While we offer standard plastic netting, there’s nothing basic about our netting! We supply some of the strongest plastic-based netting available, but we don’t stop there. The EnviroNet line offers all the advantages of standard netting, but degrades faster over time. Both offerings provide a secure backing for big rolls of many shapes and sizes.
-
Flexible Options
Not every sod farm rolls their product the same. That’s why we stock a wide range of options to suit almost every need! Width options range from 23” to 48”, and the precise length depends on the desired strength your operation needs. Regular strength netting is 12,000 linear feet, mid-grade is 10,800 linear feet, and heavy duty rolls come in at 8,500 linear feet. No matter what your specs are, Magnum is your one stop for all big roll netting solutions!
-
Sustainable Construction
We keep the future in mind when it comes to every netting innovation. Standard plastic sod netting has been the industry go-to for decades, but for quality that lasts longer than the netting, EnviroNet is quickly becoming a popular solution! For another ground-saving option, BioHarvestNet™ netting is blazing a new path forward without leaving a trace.

Next-Generation Netting
With many facets of the agriculture industry finding more sustainable ways to be stewards of the soil, producers are looking to keep plastics out of their next harvest. To answer the call, Magnum delivers with BioHarvestNet™ made of 100% plant fiber. This not only keeps plastic out of the harvesting process, it provides a completely biodegradable option. While saving the planet, this innovative netting also saves time and money. Here are the biggest benefits that have farmers and installers going green!
-
Professional-Grade
Big rolls are often used to cover wide spans of turf in places like stadiums and golf courses. In these high-maintenance, low-turnaround situations, BioHarvestNet™ netting shines. Since it completely biodegrades in weeks—not months—after installation, crews don’t have to spend the time to remove this netting, unlike its plastic alternative.
-
Easy Installation
By eliminating one painstaking step of this process, BioHarvestNet™ netting helps installers roll out fresh sod faster! This also helps in residential and commercial applications where time is in short supply. In addition to faster installs, this netting also ensures a more uniform finish without the need for net removal.
-
Less Impact, More Value
Saving the planet is one reason to feel good about going green, but there’s another kind of green installers also like saving. Less installation time reduces labor costs on big projects, which saves thousands of dollars for customers who regularly need fresh sod. While farmers feel good about their impact on the environment, their customers can feel just as happy about the impact on their yearly budget!

Benefits of Biodegradable Netting
Made in the USA
When the season gets busy, lead times become a lot more important.
Magnum helps keep production moving with netting made in the United States and stocked through multiple warehouses around the country. That setup cuts long waits and helps customers get the materials they need while the work is still in front of them, not after the window closes.
Our team knows that netting isn’t always a once-a-year purchase. Growers need dependable resupply during planting and harvest windows, and installers need materials they can trust when schedules tighten. By keeping products close to the field, Magnum helps you stay ahead of downtime instead of reacting to it.
When you make it here in the USA, you don’t have to let “supply chain” become a ball-and-chain.
Raising the Stakes
Netting works best when the anchoring system fits the field. That’s why Magnum offers more than one staking option. Traditional straight stakes still have a place on many farms, but operations looking for a cleaner, faster process lean toward the Magnum T-Stake.

The Magnum T-Stake delivers a flat top that presses against the net instead of letting the material wrap around the shaft.
That field-focused design helps:
- Reduce tangling
- Provide a more secure hold
- Fit directly into Magnum’s auto-staking equipment
With fewer wasted motions and a more secure hold, the right stake helps crews finish faster and use material more efficiently. It is one more example of Magnum’s field experience put in motion.
Because crews work under tight timelines, even small improvements in staking can have large effects on labor, consistency, and material use across the entire field.
Top-of-the-Line Field Netting Equipment
Along with advanced field netting, we also provide state-of-the-art equipment to eliminate the most taxing parts of the process.
High-Volume Net Installation
Magnum does not stop at selling rolls of net. We also build equipment that takes the hardest parts out of installation. It’s the kind of support that can change the pace of the whole season.
The BN-1720 Field Net Installer handles several steps in one pass. As it moves through the field, coulters create divots, guide the net into place, bunch the material for tension, and use a press wheel to level the soil and secure the net.
That single-pass approach gives growers more consistency from one end of the field to the other while reducing the repetitive work that can drain time and labor during planting season.
Adding Reinforcements
With the optional Dual Auto-Staker system, the machine can also fire wooden stakes as it moves, which cuts down on manual labor and helps crews maintain a steadier pace across the field.
Automatic firing helps crews hold a steady pattern, while manual control gives them the freedom to add extra support right where they want it.
That balance of automation and control fits the way many farms actually work. Teams can move fast across open runs, then add targeted support on seams, edges, or problem areas without changing equipment.

Streamlining the Staking Process
For crews that want a dedicated staking tool, the SAS 300 Single Field Net Auto Staker removes the constant bending and hand-driving that slows down and wears out your team. It can connect to a tractor’s 3-point system, or you can tow it behind a golf cart or four-wheeler, which gives more flexibility in the field.
Operators can choose preset firing intervals or manual firing depending on the field. That flexibility makes it easier to add stakes at seams, in the middle of a run, or anywhere extra support makes sense.
As a result, your team gets a faster staking process that protects labor while adding reinforcement your sod netting needs during field establishment.
The Support You Deserve
Support matters after the sale too. If a machine needs service, Magnum ENP backs customers with password-protected parts manuals, technical support, and fast access to replacement parts. When something needs attention, you shouldn’t have to chase answers. You should have reliable guidance that points to solutions fast.
When your season depends on timely repairs and dependable materials, that reliable guidance protects more than equipment. The right backing protects schedules, labor, and customer commitments.
Magnum ENP also connects customers with technicians and service resources designed to keep field equipment productive instead of parked while crews wait on answers.
Why Work With Magnum ENP?
Magnum brings nearly four decades of experience to the sod industry. That’s what makes us uniquely qualified to help your organization: our experience started in the field, not in a boardroom.

A Farmer’s Friend for Field Nets
Our decades in the sod industry have taught us that every second counts. That’s why our field netting is designed to save time installing and speed up harvesting. We offer the longest rolls available to limit stops to reload spools of sod netting, which adds up to hours of labor savings. Our netting is also the strongest in our industry, which allows installation equipment to install the field netting with less tearing.! These are the details that make our netting an asset on many farms worldwide.
Best-in-Class Coverage
If you’re rolling out netting over the entire span of your field, stopping every few minutes to reload can really slow you down. With over 25,000 linear feet of net per roll, our field netting saves precious minutes that can turn into hours, which saves hundreds in labor costs that can turn into thousands over time! For every 5 rolls you use, 20% more material over our leading competitor nets 100% more productivity.
Unrivaled Strength
The plastic composition of our field netting is 10% stronger than the next leading competitor. In addition to fewer tears during installation, this also provides a stronger support system for every roll of sod. Acting as a supportive scaffolding, our field netting supports a healthy yield, even when harvesting younger crops.
Quality-Focused
Like all of our sod netting options, every roll of field netting is focused on experiences for farms and the customers they serve. Magnum provides the highest-quality supplies to make harvesting more efficient and profitable while providing the highest-quality crop. From the field to the jobsite, our mark of excellence leaves a lasting impression by providing a greener future wherever big roll sod is found.

Field Notes About Field Netting

How to Order Netting
Since every farm is different, Magnum takes the time to help every customer make the right choice for their operation. Finding the right netting is just as important as finding the right seeds to plant, machine to harvest, or parts to keep everything moving. To help customers get the right netting the first time, our sales team walks them through a quick and easy process.
Measure Twice
We start by discussing how much material you need. In addition to the width of your harvester and desired strength, we also need to know how much acreage you plan to harvest for big roll net or how many acres you plan to cover for field net. We will also discuss your individual approach. We know each farm and each grower have unique approaches based on what works best in their conditions. Your Magnum rep will take all of your unique needs into consideration to identify the correct netting for your operation.
Talk About Options
In the next step, we’ll discuss your needs to factor in, like roll weight and cut width. This helps us determine the necessary strength and options available to you. We stock EnviroNet and BioHarvestNet™ in 23”, 29”, 40”, and 46” for the most common widths. However, we also offer made-to-order widths in 30”, 41”, 42”, and 48”. Keep in mind, these will take more time to ship due to the custom nature of your order.
The cut depth and length of your roll will determine the estimated weight of your finished roll, which will also determine the strength of big rollnetting you need. Each grade of big roll netting has different tensile strengths to accommodate most types of big roll sod. EnviroNet is also available in clear or brown colors. We take a lot into consideration to supply the right rolls of netting, even how frequently farms need it!
Keep Production Rolling
Instead of having to pick up the phone or find us online every time you need to reorder, we offer bulk pricing and automatic resupplying to keep everything running smoothly. Extra rolls on hand provide peace of mind to keep your machines in the field and minimize downtime. Thanks to a robust network of local warehouses and manufacturing right here in the US, you can get netting whenever, wherever you need it—fast! If anything changes about your process, or you’d like to discuss a different option, our support team is ready to help.
